The Corolla Cross is different from the C-HR which it has a torsion beam rear suspension rather than the more expensive double wishbone suspension. The front suspension is still controlled by a MacPherson Strut. It also has a 5.2-metre turning radius, which Toyota says that it is the highest in class.

The 1.8G spec comes with a halogen projector headlights with bulb-type daytime operating lights, LED fog lamps, 17-inch twin five-spoke wheels with 215/60 profile Bridgestone Alenza tyres, and LED combination tail lights as vehicles equipped.

The 1.8V spec does come with a Bi-LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, 18-inch dual-tone alloys with 225/50 series Michelin Primacy 4 rubbers, a better pair of LED tail lights, and an acoustic laminated windshield. The driven tailgates with kick sensors are standard on both models, as well as the powered wing mirrors with LED turn indicators and blind spot tracking.

Although the exterior does not resemble the Corolla sedan, the similarities are immediately evident once you get inside the car. The dashboards are virtually identical, as the Corolla Cross has its own instrument panel style.
